Alcoa Wagerup Refinery Expansion

Katestone Environmental was commissioned by Alcoa to supply independent expert advice, in the form of a desktop peer review of studies conducted in support of Alcoa’s Wagerup 3 refinery expansion.

The desktop review was intended to evaluate the various air quality impact assessment reports to determine if the information was adequate, whether the methodologies used were adequate in determining the impacts on air quality due to the refinery and whether the conclusions drawn from the work were appropriate. The review included a range of air quality reports undertaken by CSIRO and air quality experts.
