Natalie has also served for a number of years as an office bearer for the National Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Andrew Wiebe
B.Sc.(Hons)Phys.Geo.
Senior Air Quality Consultant
Andrew has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Biology degree, with Honours in Physical Geography, from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
His honours dissertation was titled ‘Wavelet Analysis of Atmospheric Turbulence over a Coral Reef’, and involved the study of the decomposition of atmospheric signals using wavelet analysis to determine the characteristics of the exchange of momentum, heat, moisture and trace gases, such as carbon dioxide, at the atmosphere-ocean-reef interface.
Andrew’s expertise includes atmospheric numerical modelling, using models such as TAPM and the Weather Research Forecasting Model (WRF) to simulate and interpret airflow in complex terrain.
Andrew joined Katestone in 2008 and has enhanced the capabilities and core abilities of the Katestone modelling team.
Ella Castillo B.Sc.
Senior Air Quality Consultant
Ella joined Katestone Environmental as a Senior Consultant in May 2010, bringing over nine years of experience in the environmental field. Majoring in Physics with Computer Engineering at the Ateneo de Manila University, (Philippines), Ella specialises in mathematical interpolation and data processing, handling, manipulation, and analysis. She has significant experience in a diverse range of fields including database management and handling, programming, and strong analytical skills, as well as a background in climate change studies.
Ella has worked with several numerical models such as CALMET/CALPUFF, TAPM, AUSPLUME, AERMOD, ISC3, RegCM and MM5; utilising these tools for air quality studies on industries including power stations, mines, and agribusiness.
Ella also specialises in the application of the technologies of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (RS-GIS) to different areas of research as required, strengthening data linkages and improving accuracy on model input data and results.
